Conducting an Efficient Literature Search: Getting full text

This guide is for faculty, residents, and fellows undertaking literature reviews. It covers key sources for literature reviews as well as reference management.

Practice: Finding full text

  1. From the library homepage, click the link for PubMed. Search for the following article:  Sneller MC, Liang CJ, Marques AR, et al. A Longitudinal Study of COVID-19 Sequelae and Immunity: Baseline Findings [published online ahead of print, 2022 May 24]. Ann Intern Med. 2022;10.7326/M21-4905. doi:10.7326/M21-4905
  2. Use the GET IT button to see if we have full text for this article.
  3. From the library homepage, search for this article using OneSearch: Jervis KJ, Goldberg GM, Cutting AC. Inner-city hospital closures: financial decision or impediment to access? J Health Care Finance. 2012;38(3):22-39.
  4. Try placing an interlibrary loan request for it:
    1. Complete the ILL new account form. Leave the default selections in the dropdown menus unchanged.
    2. Once your account is created, click back to the "Get It" page and click the ILL request link again.
    3. Do not click “submit” at the bottom of the article request form.
